Please pray for Mark and Sherry as they get ready for the Ride For IDES. Only 6 days, 21 hours, and 46 minutes left until they start to raise money for wells in Kenya.http://www.ides.org/rideforides.html

Mark will be riding his bike across the United States to raise money for IDES to build wells in Kenya.  Can you skip pop or coffee in the month of June and donate that to the Ride For IDES?

Keep us in your prayers as IDES continues to work in Southern Indiana and in Joplin.  In Indiana we are moving from a disaster clean up and recovery plan to a rebuilding phase.

We have already built 33 storage sheds and will be building more soon.  We also are in the process of building two new homes for residents who lost everything.  If you would like to donate for Southern Indiana or other US disasters visit: https://www.nfpsystems.com/contrib/contrib.asp?org=100

Thank you to Northside Christian Church in New Albany, IN
http://www.mynorthside.com/
and other volunteers that helped us this past week!  Because of you we were able to put up nine more storage sheds for tornado victims in Marysville.  Keep up the great work!

So far in Southern Indiana we have built 28 storage sheds for people, fixed three roofs, worked on two siding projects, and have cleaned up numerous properties after the tornado.  We have also gathered and distributed supplies to Henryville, Marysville, Borden, Pekin, and Nabb.

We want to thank all of the volunteers that have come so far to help.  On average we have had between 150 - 400 volunteers each week come through our volunteer center in Sellersburg, IN.

You can volunteer for Southern, IN or other IDES disaster sites on our website at:

IDES Storage Sheds Are Starting To Go Up In Towns Devastated By Tornadoes

IDES has started building storage sheds in many of the communities devastated by tornadoes. Storage sheds are a good option as people are waiting for insurance. Many of the homes need to be demolished and the stuff inside that they can save needs to be stored. Many of the people cannot afford to rent a storage unit so these sheds can be a much needed next step.
